"Although it does not hold a significant position on the tourism map of Kerala, the Chombal Harbour and the Mayyazhi riverbanks in the Azhiyur Grama Panchayat enhance the tourism potential of this Panchayat. The Panchayat is currently examining the feasibility of tourism from the harbour to Velliyankallu (Silverstone). If a boat service to Velliyankallu is started, it will be a major breakthrough in the tourism sector of the Panchayat. The coastal areas of the Panchayat are places where nature has generously showered its beauty."
